This guide will be aimed at two groups of people: There are tons of puzzles and a few achievements that'll make you want to tear your hair out, so strap in - and don't forget to put on your suit!
Of course, I understand as much as anybody the purpose of achievement guides - I'm writing one, after all! I intend to be as thorough as possible in this guide.

After completion, you'll know how to complete the puzzles - you'll know how to reach the ending. Because of this, Outer Wilds is a game that can only truly be experienced at its fullest once. The only thing stopping you from reaching it is your knowledge of the game. If you were extremely lucky, you might be able to stumble across the ending of the game on your first try. There are no upgrades, there are no weapons - just you, your ship log, and your own intuition.
Outer Wilds is a game where your ability to progress is tied only to your knowledge of the game world and clues about the solar system's ancient history scattered around you. Do note that there are technically no missable achievements in this game (there is one minor exception, but this achievement can be unlocked well within an hour of starting a new save). For those of you who the story will connect with (and there will be many), you will regret not completing this game on your own terms - trust me on that one. I know, crazy! This game is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Approaching this gives you the achievement."Be welcomed in this place. Focus the lantern on it and it changes into a small owl statue. Climb up to the crest of the roof at the front of the house, and you'll find a small candle. Follow the roof around to the right (no more jumping required, and the enemy can't follow you here). Once on the top floor, jump over the balcony onto the roof outside. When it's going back up, follow it to the top and to the balcony at the end (Keep your light dimmed!)
There is an enemy patrolling on the top floor - it does come part way down the next floor as well. Keep following the path around the outside of the house. Once in the house, turn right to go up the stairs. Go back through the painting and over the now lit bridge. This one extinguishes most of the lights on the house and spawns the enemies. Follow the path, and you'll find another totem. There are a few ways of doing the next bit - the quickest is to go back to the room where you came in, and jump through one of the paintings to the right hand side (this is normally a hidden exit). Once you awake in the simulation, go right following candles until you see a totem pole to your left - look through it and focus the artifact to light up the bridge.
